When you try to build a sport car and then add 2,000lb of ugly, you need wider tires.

One of the things I loved about the original X5 was the massive tires. I loved them because I didn’t have to pay for them.

Giving it wide tires makes it drive damn good for bloated 6 series.

215? I own a car with 145 wide tires. The full stack of 4 wheels wouldn’t even be as tall as 2 of those x6 wheels.

I think my 1989 Subaru had 185/70 14's, impressively skinny. So was I back in ‘97.

245's not that wide anymore these days... even my Solstice has 245s, and it’s under 3000lbs.
